Why not use these inspiring international days to create a focal point for wellbeing activities in your school, workplace or community?
11th February – International Day of Women and Girls in Science
International day of Women and Girls in Science is a great opportunity to show support for the role which woman have previously and can play in the development of Science. Statistics reflect that gender inequalities remain strong in the fields of science globally, and the United Nations place the contributions of women and girls at the front of their Sustainable Development goals. Can you name a few? Why not take the time to recognise and learn about the contributions of some famous scientists, you might be able to teach someone else something new in the process “We can all do our part to unleash our world’s enormous untapped talent – starting with filling classrooms, laboratories, and boardrooms with women scientists” UN Secretary-General António Guterres
Book Giving Day is a special day celebrated by many countries worldwide. The ability to read and access to books is a privilege not everyone has in the world, likely not even in your own country! This day gives people the chance to share these opportunities with others and help out your own or other communities. If you are not able to donate through the scheme, there are ways to support this by donating to local charities or schools in your community. You can also support this by sharing the day on social media to encourage others to take part with #bookgivingday.

Expand your knowledge of Polar Bears and the ways we can protect them through this educational Ted talk.
This Ted talk focuses on why do we need women in science, and how can we encourage and support more girls to engage in these opportunities.
