Professor Nick Bouras is Programme Director and led the original development of Implemental. He is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Nick’s research has focused on health service related topics including: assessment and clinical effectiveness of specialist mental health services, evaluation of multi-professional training methods, social and biological determinants of behaviour in psychiatric patients. He has been involved in several mental health service developments internationally.

Tracey Power is Implemental's Founding Director and has driven the organisational development since Implemental’s inception. She has many years’ senior manager experience working in mental health and learning disability services. Tracey has worked in operational roles, and also helped to develop both innovative mental health services and organisational structures. Throughout her career, she has worked in collaboration with service users. Tracey’s interests include thinking about how health and social care services operate within complex systems and how collaboration across organisational boundaries can enhance mental health and wellbeing.

Jonathan Rolfe is Implemental’s Managing Director. He is an experienced senior manager with international business experience in strategic roles within both the public and private sectors. With a strong project delivery track record, Jonathan has successfully delivered large scale complex projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Jonathan led the business planning process to develop Implemental as a social enterprise and he continues to champion the role of community interest companies to deliver social benefit.

Proessor Tom Craig is Programme Director for lmplemental. He is Professor Emeritus of Social Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. Tom was former President of the World Association of Social Psychiatry. Tom has led a large number of research studies including: specific psychological therapies for auditory hallucinations and for depression in schizophrenia, the physical health in people with psychosis, and reducing cannabis use in first episode psychosis.

Professor Norman Sartorius is an Implemental Board Advisor. He is President of the Association for the Improvement of Mental health programmes, an organisation that aims to help improve the care of people who have mental health problems across the world. He is a psychiatrist and university professor, former director of the World Health Organisation’s Division of Mental Health and former president of the World Psychiatric Association and Association of European Psychiatrists. Norman has been involved in a wide range of initiatives designed to challenge stigma and discrimination and also the professional development of young psychiatrists as future leaders.

Paul Farmer CBE is an Implemental Board Advisor. He is Chief Executive Officer of Age UK, a charity working to provide life enhancing services and support to older people living in the United Kingdom. Paul was previously Chief Executive of Mind, a mental health charity working in England and Wales to improve services and promote understanding, and to provide advice and support to people who have mental health problems and their families. Mind is a partner in the Time to Change campaign, the biggest ever campaign in England to tackle stigma and discrimination around mental health. He chaired the NHS England Mental Health Taskforce, set up in 2015 to lead a programme of work to create a Five Year Forward View for Mental Health for the NHS in England.

Dr Sean Cross is an Implemental Board Advisor. He is Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital. And completed his doctoral research degree at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. Sean is the Clinical Director for the Mind and Body Programme for King’s Health Partner’s and runs projects on service development around mental and physical healthcare and on medical education, including being the Director of Maudsley Simulation and Managing Director of Maudsley Learning.

Chris Brophy is an Implemental Board Advisor. He is co-founder of Resolving Together, and spent many years with law firms specialising in social business and working with charities and public sector providers and commissioners. Chris was instrumental in supporting the establishment of several Community Interest Companies which were set up to provide primary and community health services to the NHS through new structures which were staff-owned. He worked on the blue-print for these organisations and has worked on CIC operational matters and closely with their Boards and staff councils to the current time

Lisa de Rijk is Implemental’s Lead Associate for Trauma and Conflict. Lisa is an accredited psychotherapist and a Registered General Nurse. She is currently the Managing Director of Awaken Consulting & Training Services Ltd, and, Awaken School of Outcome Oriented Psychotherapies Ltd. Lisa is a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London, researching brief therapy approaches for PTSD. She has experience working with the government and department of health on the statutory regulation of psychology, psychotherapy and counselling as well as with Skills for Health in implementing groundwork for the development of National Occupational Standards for Psychotherapy. Her consultancy work includes the development and design of an innovative training programme for youngsters at risk of offending behaviour, street-based sex workers and people with addictions. 

Sue Baker is Implemental’s Lead Associate for Stigma, Discrimination and Lived Experience Leadership. Sue has over 25 years of experience working to de-stigmatise mental health across the globe and was awarded an OBE for services to mental health in 2016. Sue has secured funding and led multiple campaigns including: the Time to Change initiative in England, the Time to Change Global initiative in the East and West Africa and Southern India and co-founded the Global Anti Stigma Alliance. She is now Director of Changing Minds Globally, a consultancy working on anti-stigma projects across the world including projects in Kenya, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Sue is also Mind’s International Mental Health Advisor and a member of the Advisory Board for the Lancet Commission on Stigma and Discrimination in Mental Health.

Tony Coggins is Implemental’s Lead Associate for Population Mental Health. Tony has extensive experience leading mental health promotion programmes both in the UK and Australia. He supported the Qatar Ministry of Public Health to develop the national mental health promotion and prevention strategy and action plan and program of delivery for workplaces. He has also advised the Queensland and New South Wales Mental Health Commissions on the practical application of population mental well-being approaches including major cross-sector capacity building programmes in both Mental Wellbeing Impact Assessment and Wheel of Wellbeing.

John Manley is Implemental’s Lead Associate for Mental Health Awareness Training and Primary Care. He is Clinical Lead for Lambeth and Croydon Talking Therapies (Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies) and Head of Psychology and Psychotherapy for Lambeth in South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. John’s experience encompasses all stages of setting up and delivering innovative primary care mental health services and includes innovative partnership across NHS, statutory, third sector and private providers. John has played a key role supporting the implementation of the Mental Health Strategy in Qatar including the 2018 Implemental WISH report on global anxiety and depression.

Morgane Gaschet is Implemental‘s Project Officer. Morgane completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology at Edinburgh Napier University, and a Masters in Global Mental Health at the University of Glasgow. Morgane undertook a placement with SLV Global and spent a month volunteering as a mental health worker in Indonesia. She has also worked as an assistant support worker for the Salvation Army and for the National Autistic Society. Morgane’s interests in mental health include clinical psychology, mental health policy and the experience of refugees and asylum seekers in the United Kingdom.

Chandra Araly is Implemental’s management accountant preparing the quaterly and end of year accounts. Chandra has extensive experience in accountacy and fiancial management, including over 23 years experaince as a Finance Director. Chandra also brings his experiance of being a the Trustee of the Child First (UK) charity. Chandra has supported the Implemental team since its incorporation in 2012.
